There are six fundraisers in the school year to raise much needed funds. Here is a snapshot of each one.

SPIRIT Fund (Aug & Sep) - This is the first opportunity of the school year to help raise much needed funds for Paul Ecke Central. Donations can be made by cash, check or online through PayPal. SPIRIT donations fund over 30% of critical programs at the school. All donations to the SPIRIT Fund are 100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE and eligible for employee matching funds-ask your HR group about this great benefit. We raised $30,000 for the 2010-11 school year.

Restaurant Nights - The Encinitas Educational Foundation’s (EEF’s) Restaurant Night fundraisers offer the opportunity for local restaurants to partner with their neighborhoods, get out for the evening with friends and family, and raise funds for EEF all in one night! PEC and other schools within the Encinitas Union School District hold EEF fundraisers which enable us to provide specific services needed at that school site.

We raised $2460 for the 2010-11 school year, thanks to our local restaurants and families participating in this program.  See below for the list of restaurants contributing this year.  To take part, just go to the restaurant on the assigned day(s) and mention PEC or present a printed copy of the flyer.

This year we have a great ongoing deal with Flippin Pizza.  Buy a $10 Flippin Pizza gift card and $5 goes to EEF.  Gift cards are available at the PEC front office or from your EEF representatives Tony Hill (ahill@qualcomm.com) and Ann Ellis (ann.ellis@quintiles.com).  See the Flippin Pizza Flyer for details.

Jogathon  (Nov 2011) – A fundraiser which focuses on physical fitness fun with students, the school hosts this energetic event where children collect pledges for the amount of laps they run. Our final count for the Jogathon in October 2010 was $23,254.49!  Thanks to all you hard working runners, volunteers and sponsors for doing such a great job!

Night-time Fundraiser  (Feb/March  2012) – This is an exciting event for adults only: a concert and dinner with both live and silent auctions. Last year we raised over $40,000 at this event.

Original Works (Mar 2012) – This program allows families to preserve their children’s artwork as ceramics, stationary, and other cool items.

Pancake Breakfast and Carnival (May 2012) – This event is a fun family day! Volunteers serve pancakes and there are loads of carnival rides, demonstrations and games. There is also an amazing silent auction.
