Passive Fundraisers
In addition to our six fundraising events throughout the school year, there are passive fundraising activities you can participate in. Passive fundraising is a great way to get donations for our school without going outside of your daily activities and money expenditures.
Register through participating companies, for example, and spend as you normally would. Those companies will then give a percent back to PEC. Or clip “official coupons” off of certain products, donate those to the school, and PEC can redeem them for cash.
Encourage friends and family to participate too. By the end of the school year, each family will have contributed a few hundred dollars without giving up any extra time or money!
Here is a brief description of each passive fundraiser at PEC.
Leucadia Farmers Market– Every Sunday from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on the PEC campus, the Leucadia Farmers Market has over 40 vendors carrying produce, flowers and plants, specialty foods, arts and crafts, and so much more. Proceeds benefit Paul Ecke Central PTA and Leucadia 101 Main Street. Come see what’s new!
Box Tops - For each box top turned in, the school makes 10¢. Sample products on which box tops are found: Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Hungry Jack biscuits, Bisquick, Go-GURT®, Yoplait multi-packs, General Mills products, etc. To learn which products have boxtops4education, please go to or click on link on PTA webpage: www.boxtops4education.com/downloads/global/products.pdf. Please clip and put the Box Top ‘official coupon’ in the top plastic drawer near the PTA desk in PEC office. It’s noted as “Box Tops.”
eScrip - Sign up for this valuable program and register your credit cards so that each time you use the registered cards (VISA, VONS, etc.), the school will automatically get money (up to 8% of the purchase depending on the vendor!). It is an excellent way to make money for the school without having to make an out-of-pocket contribution. To register your cards in this security protected program, please go to: www.escrip.com
Target’s Take Charge of Education– Shop at any Target and pay with your REDcard to help PEC raise needed funds! Apply for a Target credit card and then designate PEC as your Take Charge of Education beneficiary. Last year we had 45 PEC folks signed up and have made over $7,000! Imagine how much we could easily make with more participation. It’s easy! To learn more about and/or apply for your REDcard go to: https://redcard.target.com/redcard/rc_main.jsp
