Science – Built upon a foundation of inquiry and discovery through investigative experiences, we don’t just read about science, we “do” science with the help of diverse hands-on learning opportunities including Life Lab, a garden-based program developed by UC Santa Cruz; and MARE, a program developed by UC Berkeley that transforms the classrooms into laboratories for the exploration of the ocean. In addition to these programs, our 5th & 6th grade classes participate in inquiry-based labs developed and led by students from UC San Diego’s Chemistry & Engineering Departments.
