It’s a Friday Market at Paul Ecke Central. This Friday in front of the school following dismissal, 6th grade students will be selling fresh popcorn for $1 and succulents $1-15. (items changing weekly)
The 6th graders wished to leave something that would continue for years to come, led by students. A legacy program. So they created,
P.E.C. Positive Environmental Changes, A Sea Lion Stewardship
Their initial goal is to raise funds for campus recycling bins and lids for the outdoor trash cans to help keep the birds and wind from scattering litter.
Brainstorming future efforts is now in the works. Possible opportunities are P.E.C. sponsored beach cleanups, schoolwide litter pick up, encouraging the elimination of single use plastics on
campus, classroom recycling awareness…We are up for your ideas.
Last Friday we raised $220!
